This company used to be Dry Pros Restoration; they still maintain the google page. They got several negative reviews under that name, which you should read. Fortunately, we fired them and got a second opinion, and all that was needed was a sheetrock repair. They still managed to squeeze over four thousand dollars out of my insurance company for the dehumidifiers that they left in my house for a few days. No work authorization, no discussion, and they had to be asked multiple times to show up and collect their equipment that they were charging me by the hour for.If we had agreed to their proposed demolition, it would have cost us (and our insurance) thousands of dollars and huge inconvenience and stress. For nothing! They tried to create a nice fat, well-paying job out of a very minor situation. Every interaction after we hesitated to let them destroy our house was rude, confrontational and unprofessional.After I posted this review on their original company page, Dry Pros Restoration, they responded by threatening to post the photos they took on their visit to my house with geo- tags. They also sent multiple threatening, bullying text messages, which they afterwards deleted. Completely unprofessional and childish. They have since deleted their response to my review, realizing how poorly it reflects on them. And now, they have changed the company name to scrub their reputation.

When my water heater split and slightly flooded my upstairs and my garage ceiling, I called this company. They came in with a lot of promises of leaving my house as good as if not better than before. The reality is, they did way more moving of stuff, renting a pod, hauling things out, etc. than was necessary, all to book more man hours and mileage to bill the insurance company. They drug their feet about scheduling repairs and insisted on payment from insurance for the mitigation before even thinking of scheduling repairs. In all, this small job took over six weeks when it could have been done in two. Their invoice came in 3 times more than what the insurance adjuster said was reasonable. They did not want to replace all the items they had hauled out. Their painter splattered paint on two newly painted interior doors and got mudding material on a brand new rug, ruining it. I finally told the painter everything was fine just to get him out of my house before more damage was done. The company argued with me about the amount of the invoice and tried to justify their outrageous charges. I am telling everyone I know to steer clear of Disaster Cleanup with a C and to call Disaster Kleenup with a K if you want really great service.

Dry Pros LLC / Disaster Cleanup review.On Feb 20 this year we had a toilet over flow that soaked carpet, laminate, and drywall. So gross. I called the first 5-star rated place I could find at 8:11 AM. They showed up with all their gear close to 10:30 AM. They documented the damage to send to insurance and get approval prior to tearing stuff out. Insurance was responsive so they were back the following day for tear out.They tore out damaged flooring, walls, carpet, etc. they were quick about it and seemed to genuinely care about getting things as dry as quickly as possible. I thought it was weird they took out a vanity that wasn’t in the path of destruction but I also didn’t mind that I’d have 2 new vanities after all was said and done. There were nails left in the subfloor and I have small children so I had to put down padding so they wouldn’t hurt their feet walking to their rooms.We had three very loud, very large fans/dehumidifiers going nonstop for more than a week. They returned on 3/1 to pick those up.They left all the ripped up flooring and wall junk on my front lawn until it was picked up after calling and messaging the office manager multiple times. It sat there for 16 days. Neighbors began to complain and I couldn’t blame them.Then came the extremely long wait for repairs. Evidently there wasn’t great communication between Dry Pros and my insurance, though it seemed more on the Disaster Cleanup end more than the insurance end believe it or not. Insurance hadn’t gotten the full drawing in order to assess things properly. This went on for 2 months.Finally received insurance payment and we made a deposit of 50% on 4/28. Repairs began on 5/22, nearly a month later and almost 3 months after this began. But we finally had walls back up. Woohoo.Vanities were ordered for both bathrooms. Neither one fit and they had to be returned. Huge pain and unnecessary delay.Flooring was put in 6/5. No more walking on hazardous floors, yay.Then we had issues with scheduling plumbing. We were going to be without ANY functional toilets due to the flooring that was being installed. I called in a panic and they got a plumber out to our house the following day, however, he installed a toilet in a bathroom that had no door because that had also been removed during this process.Between 6/6 and 6/30 we had ONE functional toilet and it was in a bathroom WITHOUT a door that was then inside a master bedroom that had no door. We put up a curtain for privacy but it was very not fun for anyone.Electrical was a nightmare. The electrician they used moved an outlet to the most ridiculous place above the vanity where the mirror is supposed to hang. Never seen anything like that in my life. I had them get someone else out there to move it. It got moved. That outlet keeps going out if anything with any sort of power is used in it. At that point it was comical.. I just let it go.Everything was finished up on 7/12 and they resubmitted the final invoice to insurance. More communication issues ensured. I kept having to ask for a final invoice which I received on 8/15. The invoice said payment was due 30 days from receipt. Cool. We think we have till mid-September to pay.On 8/28 we get a call from Shane telling us we need to pay right away because they might get sued by the flooring company they used. It was followed up with an email asking for payment as soon as possible. I had to let him know his invoice says “due 30 days after receipt.” But whatever, we paid. Come to find out the office manager I had spent the majority of the time communicating with was no longer working there.Just… go into this eyes wide open. I’m happy with the contractors that were used minus the electrician and the quality of the drywall repair person, Nathan Howe, but it was much more of an ordeal than it had to be on so many levels.UPDATE: see Shane’s response below but also bear in mind the call was during an appointment and I couldn’t answer. The text was while I was driving home. And the email arrived as I was walking through the door.

I called this company to ask if they performed mold inspections and the woman who answered the phone was incredibly polite and helpful. She sent out workers to our home to provide a free inspection for us. The workers who arrived were extremely helpful and very knowledgeable. They were friendly, professional, and did not try to sell us services that we didn’t need. After performing their inspection and not finding any mold, they explained to us how we can prevent mold from growing in the first place. They gave us detailed instructions of what to do and how to do it in a cost effective way. This company is an awesome company that has integrity and well trained employees.
We have been concerned about the condensation level in our travel trailer this winter. My husband and I live in the trailer year round with our new baby and have wanted to be proactive at preventing any mold build up in our small space. These guys offered a free inspection and scheduled to come out and take a look within a couple of days. They went above and beyond in communication! I had a hot water pipe burst in my house. My insurance denied my claim. Disaster clean up/ Shane fought tooth and nail on my behalf to get my claim approved. Everyone who I talked to and met were very professional and polite. The whole team worked very hard to get my family back into our home.
